Paul Bae - Pt 1 (The Tale of the Youth Pastor Who Became an Atheist, Teacher and Comedian)

In part one of my two part chat with Writer/Comedian/Podcaster Paul Bae, we talk about his Korean roots in a ‘not so Korean’ suburb of Ontario, Canada. And how his families determination to make Korean friends led Paul to a stint as a Youth Pastor, getting married, and then divorced after turning to Atheism. 

Believe it or not, this is a success story. We’ll talk about how his parents begged him to become a comedian, but he rebelled and became a teacher instead. Inspired by his years of teaching, he’ll talk about how he finally decide to pursue his comedic talents, which he not only received acclaim, but helped him land a gig as a TV Host alongside three of Canada’s top comedians. 

But how did he go from comedy to co-creating one of the scariest viral podcasts, which has over 54 million views, to landing lucrative deals with streaming services alongside influential Hollywood actors? Well, that’s in Part 2 of my interview with Paul Bae.
